10 things I’ve learned through #Whatsbeautiful

As the UA What’s Beautiful campaign has come to a close and the winners have been announced, it’s time for a little reflection on what I have learned as an ambassador. I went into the program with an open mind not quite sure what I would get out of it. I love a little competition and I like when I’m pushed out of my comfort zone. I found both experiences and so much more.

10 Things I’ve Learned through What’s Beautiful:

  1. Creating a goal is easy. Sticking with that goal and working toward it every day is not. Today is the day to start working harder for what I want to achieve.
  2. It’s possible to feel beautiful in the simplest ways. You don’t need make up, nice clothes or perfect hair. See the beauty in your eyes, your smile and the happiness in your soul.
  3. Self-confidence is radiant. Start shining today.
  4. It’s possible to be strong, beautiful, delicate, self-sufficient, give-em-hell, gorgeous and call yourself an athlete.
  5. Pursuing better health is the ultimate goal not losing weight or squeezing into that dress you wore 10 years ago.
  6. Make small goals leading up to the BIG one.
  7. Go out of your comfort zone and try something new. Hello, CrossFit ladies!! This one is for everyone.
  8. Connect with other women. Find out what their fitness routine is. Try it. Engage. Make new friends, have new experiences.
  9. I have more time than I think I do. Scheduling out what I need to do in a day helps keep me on track. You have time too.
  10. Even if I have a bad day, I miss a workout or I indulge in a slice of Portillo’s Chocolate Cake (Chicagoans know what I’m talking about), I am proud of who I am and of my choices.
